Over more than twenty years, Ron Arons has researched his roots to England, Poland, Romania, Lithuania, Ukraine, and Belarus. Along the way he uncovered a deeply buried secret – one of his ancestors was a criminal! This new found knowledge changed his life forever, including turning Ron into a three-time author and a speaker who has given more than 500 presentations both in North America and internationally. A veteran of the high-tech world, Ron is still fascinated with new technologies. In 2006, Ron won a Hackman Research Grant from the New York State Archives. That same year, Ron appeared on the PBS TV Series, The Jewish Americans, talking about Jewish criminals in New York City. He is the author of three books: The Jews of Sing Sing, WANTED! U.S. Criminal Records, and Mind Maps for Genealogy. Ron earned a B.S. in Engineering from Princeton University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. Ron currently serves as Secretary for the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies.
