Lynn Palermo is a seasoned writing and accountability coach who specializes in helping family historians transform their research into engaging and shareable narratives. Known widely as the ‘Armchair Genealogist’, Lynn brings 15 years of rich experience in coaching countless students through her signature writing programs offered at the Family History Writing Studio. Beyond her coaching role, Lynn is an accomplished author with a Creative Writing Certificate from the University of Toronto. Her diverse portfolio includes a multi-generational heirloom book, a unique family history children’s book, and a novella-length family history narrative. She has also penned numerous short stories and ancestor profiles. In addition to her own writing, Lynn has created a variety of how-to workbooks tailored specifically for family historians. She regularly hosts virtual writing retreats and conducts a range of workshops and webinars, both in-person and online, to support family historians on their writing journey. With her extensive experience, Lynn is committed to assisting others in bringing their family histories to life through compelling storytelling. Her passion for genealogy and skillful writing make her a valuable resource in the field of family history writing.
